We will kick off the 2019 Advocacy Day event at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, located at 1230 J Street (on the corner of 13th and J) in downtown Sacramento. Please check in with our registration staff on the third level, just outside of the “Hendricks” meeting room. Directional signage will be displayed to guide you.
Registration opens promptly at 8:00 am with formal remarks scheduled to start at 9:00 am.
In the afternoon, attendees will transition to the State Capitol, located at 1315 10th Street (corner of 10th and L). The Capitol is a short 7-minute walk from the hotel. Please note that staff will be located in Room 317. If you are in between meetings, or need a pick-me-up (we’ll have coffee and snacks!) – you are welcome to join us there! Advocacy Day will formally adjourn at 3:30 pm.
A special rate starting at $175 per night is being offered for Monday, September 16, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in downtown Sacramento. Reserve your room by August 26 to secure the discount rate. Please note that rooms are limited and subject to availability.
Book your room online, or call (800) 228-9290 and ask for “The SCAN Foundation’s” discount rate.
The Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is located 11 miles northwest of the Sheraton Grand Hotel. Parking and transportation information (e.g. shuttles, rental cars, app-based ride sharing options, taxis) are available on the airport’s website.
